“Camp With Farmers”

A group of strangers from different places come together for this unique camp. They all arrive at the camping point, where the journey begins with a refreshing welcome drink. This is followed by introductions, giving everyone a chance to share their stories.

In the evening, participants set out on a village walk through Kanthalloor, exploring its natural beauty and farmlands. The walk helps them connect more closely with each other. Returning to the campsite, they take some rest before gathering around a campfire, opening up their hearts in conversation, and sharing laughter. A wholesome traditional dinner is enjoyed together before winding down for the night under the stars.

Day 02 – Sunrise & Shola Forest Bath

At dawn, the group heads to a sunrise point to witness the first light of day—an experience that clears the mind and uplifts the soul. Returning to camp, they enjoy a hearty farm-style breakfast before preparing for the day’s highlight: a guided trek through the Mannavan Shola, the largest shola forest in the world and dating back to the Jurassic era.

Known as a Forest Bath, this trek immerses participants in dense woods, flowing streams, waterfalls, and rare plants, opening the mind to the hidden mysteries of nature. Here, the interconnection between farming and nature becomes clear—how every plant grows, sustains life, and reflects nature’s delicate balance.

After returning from the trek, a healthy farm lunch is served. The afternoon offers time to relax before gathering again for tea and traditional snacks. Later, the group explores the village, meeting farmers, hearing their stories, and tasting freshly harvested fruits and vegetables.

The evening brings the camp’s most exciting experience—Harvest and Feast. Participants collect fresh produce directly from the fields, bring it to the campsite, and cook together, creating a grand menu. Around the campfire, music, games, laughter, and the shared meal turn the night into a festival of togetherness.

Day 03 – Hands-on Farming

The final morning begins with a refreshing walk, followed by direct participation in farm work—seed planting, crop care, and even harvesting. Breakfast is served right at the farm, offering a taste of freshness and purity.

Farmers share their insights, discussing the endless possibilities of agriculture, its economic value, and the satisfaction of living close to the soil. These moments inspire participants to reflect deeply on the role of farming in their lives.

Back at the campsite, the group enjoys a grand farewell lunch before parting ways. Although saying goodbye is hard, everyone leaves with lasting friendships, a stronger bond with Kanthalloor, and a gift to keep the memories alive.
